  • Information O sistema Torrens é um sistema de registro de títulos Introduzido no sul da Austrália, em 1858, que consiste na identificação dos direitos adquiridos pela ocupação, a concessão ou a aquisição de propriedade formal. É um sistema de registro de terras simples adotado num processo de colonização inicial, onde se considera que o estado possui todas as terras. Este sistema garante apenas os direitos dos imóveis cadastrados, sendo o registo não obrigatório.
